This Privacy Policy explains how DealMama ("DealMama", "we", "us") collects, uses and shares information when you use the DealMama mobile app and this website (together, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here.

Information we collect

Information you give us

• Account details: email address, first and last name, and phone number (if you add one).
• If you sign in with Google or Apple, the name and email address they share with us.
• Your zip code and preferences, such as dietary preferences you choose to add.
• Content you submit: orders and order notes, deal comments, catering and banquet requests, event or talent submissions, and photos or videos you upload.
• If you run a business on DealMama: business details, deals, menus, photos, and your answers to the deal-setup questions.

Information collected automatically

• Usage data, such as the deals you view, save and claim, and diagnostic data.
• Device data, such as device type, operating system, and a push notification token if you allow notifications.
• Location, only if you give permission. You can turn this off at any time in your device settings.

How we use your information

• To provide and maintain the Service, including your account and your orders.
• To show you deals near you and send notifications you've allowed, such as reminders for deals you saved.
• To let a business see and redeem the orders you place with it.
• To contact you about your account, orders, security or support requests.
• To send news and offers, unless you opt out.
• To understand how the Service is used and to improve it.
• To keep the Service safe, including moderating content and preventing misuse.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as follows:

• With businesses you order from: the business sees the details needed to fulfill your order, such as your name, order and order notes.
• With service providers who run parts of the Service for us, including:
  • Supabase: hosting, database and sign-in.
  • Google and Apple: sign-in, if you choose them.
  • Expo: delivering push notifications.
  • Resend: sending emails.
  • Google Maps Platform: looking up business and location information.
  • Anthropic: AI features, such as deal suggestions for businesses and organizing catering or banquet requests.
  • Instagram (Meta): posting businesses' new deals to DealMama's Instagram account.
• Publicly: content you post in public areas, such as deal comments, can be seen by other users.
• For legal reasons: when required by law, or to protect the rights, property or safety of DealMama, our users or others.
• Business transfers: if DealMama is involved in a merger, acquisition or asset sale.
• With your consent: for any other purpose you agree to.

Retention

We keep your account information while your account is open and for up to 24 months after it is closed. Support messages, usage statistics and server logs are kept for up to 24 months. We may keep information longer when the law requires it or to resolve disputes. Information that has been made anonymous may be kept for analytics.

Your choices and rights

• You can view and update your information in the app.
• You can delete your account in the app from your Profile, or by emailing us.
• You can turn off notifications and location access in your device settings.
• You can ask us to access, correct or delete your information by emailing dealmama385@gmail.com.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Where your information is processed

Your information may be processed and stored outside your state or country, where data protection laws may differ. We take reasonable steps to keep it secure.

Children

The Service is not intended for anyone under 16. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 16 without verified parental consent, we will delete it.

Links to other sites

The Service may link to sites we don't operate. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, so please review their policies.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page, update the date above, and let you know by email or in the app before important changes take effect.
